Codex adds next-message composer predictions
Codex can now suggest a complete next message after responding, letting eligible users accept, edit, or ignore the proposed follow-up before sending it.

Beta for adults aged 18 and older on personal ChatGPT Pro plans in supported regions, using the latest Codex desktop app. It supports local and SSH threads with GPT-6 Astra or GPT-6.1 Sol and is on by default for eligible users. Predictions do not send automatically and can be disabled in General settings. During the beta, generating predictions does not count toward Codex usage limits or consume credits; sent messages follow normal usage and billing. It is not available in Chat, on the web, or on other plans.
