ChatGPT adds audio-file uploads for transcription and analysis
Paid ChatGPT subscriptions and workspaces can now attach supported audio files to create transcripts, summarize recordings, and ask questions about their contents.

Released October 6. Audio uploads are available on paid ChatGPT subscriptions and workspaces, including Enterprise, but not on the Free plan. Availability may vary by workspace settings, region, client version, and selected model. Supported audio files can be up to 512 MB. OpenAI cautions that transcripts may contain errors, speaker identification may be unreliable, and performance can vary across languages; very long recordings may time out.
